Our extra virgin olive oil

Our groves are home to four native Sicilian cultivars: Cerasuola, Nocellara del Belice, Biancolilla, and Piricuddara. Each variety tells a fragment of the territory, allowing us to create an extra virgin olive oil that is a true expression of biodiversity and quality.

Cerasuola: the leading cultivar

At the heart of our production is the Cerasuola cultivar, which best represents the strength and identity of our land. On the nose, Cerasuola offers a medium-intense fruitiness, with fresh herbaceous notes recalling green tomato, freshly cut grass, and artichoke. On the palate, it shows a harmonious structure, with an elegant balance between bitterness and pungency, sustained by a long, pleasant finish. Versatile yet distinctive, it is ideal for fine dining and the most discerning palates.

To accompany every moment, Casasantè is available in three sizes:

250 ml, 500 ml, and 5 litres.

Design e packaging

For us, extra virgin olive oil is not only a product of excellence, but also a visual and emotional experience. Both packaging and design have been carefully crafted for the fine dining world and the gourmet channel alike, with the aim of conveying elegance and attention to detail.

Our illustration represents our identity and our roots: it represents the family garden, with the olive tree holding a swing — a symbol of our childhood — and the convivial table, a place for sharing with friends and family. A symbol that unites personal memory with a vocation for conviviality, just like our oil.

The illustration is the work of Sciacca-born artist Suela Niosi, to whom we entrusted the task of giving visual form to our story.

“Casasantè is not just an extra virgin olive oil: it is territory, tradition, a pursuit of quality, and a love for sharing. A product born to bring the true essence of Sicily to the table, with an eye on the future and on the world.”

A family story

The story of Casasantè begins long ago, with a land and a family that have lived for over a century from their olive trees.

Our story begins with my great-grandfather Santo, born in 1891, who owned an old stone oil mill, the Trappeto — Trappitu in Sicilian dialect. A place where work, home, and family were one and the same. Together with his wife Maria, Santo made it their home, giving rise to an agricultural tradition that would span generations.
Even in the most difficult times, the family remained tied to that land. During the Second World War, they took shelter in caves near the fields, in an area where a decoy airfield once stood. Olive growing, even then, was resistance, identity, and continuity.
My grandfather took up this legacy and chose to give it a new direction. In 1960, he moved to Contrada Bellapietra, in Sciacca, where together with my father he built and carried forward the family business.
Today, after more than a century, my commitment is to bring to the table an extra virgin olive oil that tells this story — a story of land, time, and people. A product born and passed down through four generations.
Casasantè is a family business in the truest sense of the word: my father tends the olive groves with his usual expertise and dedication, while I work to translate this quality into a modern, recognisable commercial project.

Our approach to olive growing doesn’t stop at preserving, it aims to improve. That’s why we’ve joined SPREMO, a research project on the early diagnosis of olive tree stress, which allows us to act with greater precision and responsibility, respecting both the plant and the land.

After years of professional experience in the food industry and numerous trips abroad, I chose to bring my knowledge and vision back to the family business. Today, my goal is to introduce Casasantè EVOO to the world, never forgetting our roots: to keep growing here, in my homeland, building a sustainable and better future.

We are a certified organic farm, a path that reflects our commitment to growing with respect and responsibility. Our olive groves are irrigated to counter the effects of drought affecting our island, and we work every day to reduce our environmental impact through energy sustainability systems, such as photovoltaic installations.

Casa — the place where everything began and continues to grow, and the symbol of my return after ten years away: a conscious choice to bring the experiences and vision I’d gained abroad back to the most authentic place I’d left behind.

Santè — a tribute to my father Santo, and at the same time an echo of the French toast santé: health, conviviality, well-being.

Two words that meet to evoke conviviality, rebirth, and well-being. Casasantè is a bridge between past and present, between tradition and innovation, between Sicily and the world.

Sciacca – Contrada Bellapietra – Sicily, Italy

Casasantè is located in the countryside of Sciacca, on Sicily’s south-western coast, a historic territory overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and long tied to agriculture and olive cultivation. Sciacca is one of the island’s most renowned areas for extra virgin olive oil production, thanks to its mild climate and fertile soils, which have supported a strong olive-growing tradition for centuries. Here, the culture of olive oil is part of everyday life and the history of the land. We are based in Contrada Bellapietra, immersed in nature, where tradition and quality meet in an authentic way.

I bought a box of oil from Casasantè, which I didn’t know before, and I have to say I’m very happy with it. A truly Sicilian olive oil, made from local olives by a local producer. Excellent both raw and for cooking, with a flavour that doesn’t mask the taste of food but actually enhances it. Absolutely competitive price, especially for the quality — not something you can take for granted! As soon as it runs out I’ll definitely be stocking up again.

I had the pleasure of trying CASASANTE’ extra virgin olive oil, and the first thing that strikes you is its purity. On the palate it’s bold, with a clean finish — a sign of careful processing that respects the raw ingredient. I also had the chance to work with Valeria, who is helpful and professional.
Vanessa
The authentic taste of Sicily. An excellent oil, full-bodied and wonderfully fragrant.
Clara
Casasantè’s extra virgin olive oil is truly excellent: it has a fresh aroma, an intense flavour, and a slight peppery kick on the palate (for us, a sign of quality). We mostly use it raw to savour it fully. Very satisfied.
